Colapso del puente de Baltimore luego de ser golpeado por un barco

Los servicios de emergencia buscan este martes al menos a siete personas tras derrumbarse un puente en la ciudad de Baltimore, en la costa este de Estados Unidos, después de que un barco colisionara contra él. 

Según las espectaculares imágenes captadas por las cámaras de videovigilancia, un portacontenedores se estrelló contra un pilar del puente Francis Scott Key, haciendo que una gran parte de la estructura de acero cayera al río Patapsco. 

Se ven luces, aparentemente de vehículos, en el puente antes de que se deforme y caiga por secciones.

Tras la colisión, en torno a la 1H30 de la madrugada (05H30 GMT), se puso en marcha un gran dispositivo de emergencia. 

Una persona fue trasladada al hospital en «estado muy grave», informó el jefe de bomberos de Baltimore, James Wallace, y otra resultó ilesa. «Puede que estemos buscando a hasta siete personas», dijo.
